Newark Police followed a vehicle overnight that was reportedly stolen in Elizabeth on Thursday.
According to preliminary reports, officers in Newark's East Ward spotted the vehicle on Broad Street and attempted to pull the vehicle over when the driver ignored officer's lights and sirens and sped off southbound towards route 1&9.
The vehicle is a blue Subaru with a reported NJ license plate number "M51-HYA".
There were no arrests immediately reported.
