Car Slams Into Parked Vehicle in Newark

There were no injuries reported in an early morning crash that occurred on a street in Newark Sunday morning.

According to preliminary reports, residents at The K. Hovnanian Society Hill condo community that's in the vicinity of Springfield and South Orange avenues were awakened to a loud bang at approximately 6:30 a.m.

Many looked out the window and observed a car that had lost control and slammed into a parked car at that location.

Police arrived at the scene a short time later and conducted the investigation.

It is not immediately clear if the driver of the car stayed at the scene at this time.
