Car Crashes Through Parking Deck Wall in Jersey City; One Hospitalized

Emergency crews responded Friday morning after a car plunged several feet from a Jersey City parking deck, crashing through a wall before landing upside down.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. at a parking structure located along JFK Boulevard near Newark Avenue. According to witnesses, the vehicle broke through the wall of the deck and fell to the ground below, coming to rest on its hood.

Several bystanders rushed to help, pulling the occupants from the overturned vehicle before first responders arrived.

One person was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been confirmed.

Jersey City police are leading the investigation, which remains active and ongoing.
