The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in the early hours of Saturday on Route 185 near Linden Avenue in Jersey City.
The incident, reported at approximately 12:20 a.m., resulted in the tragic loss of one person's life.
Preliminary information indicated that emergency services were dispatched swiftly following reports of a crash involving injuries.
On arrival, responders found a vehicle had crashed into a truck, resulting in one person being ejected from the car. The victim was pronounced dead at the site of the collision.
As of now, there have been no reports of other severe injuries.
The investigation into this fatal incident is active and ongoing.
Authorities are working to determine the circumstances that led to this deadly crash.
