Police in Kearny are looking into the possibilities that a vehicle that caught fire in a neighborhood was intentionally set.
According to preliminary reports, firefighters were called to the vicinity of 739 Elm Street after receiving reports of a vehicle fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a newer modeled car fully ignited in flames.
Crews were able to extinguish the blaze in less than 15 minutes and a search indicated no injured victims inside the burned car.
The official cause of the fire is under investigation.
