“I was always told to go with my first guess,” the player said when collecting the prize last week at the New Jersey Lottery office. “That was the first ticket I thought to get when I was in the store. I told myself to get it, but I didn’t for some reason. But this time, I went ahead and grabbed it.”

Pinebrook Liquor & Deli, 1870 Wayside Road in the Monmouth County borough of Tinton Falls, sold the other $500,000 winner on the $10 Shore Thing game, NJ Lottery officials stated.

The top prize was the second of three available, lottery officials say.
