Camden County Correction Officer Arrested for Distribution of Explicit Images of Minors

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Waterford Township Police Chief Daniel Cormaney reported an Atco man has been arrested and charged Friday with distribution of explicit images of minors.

Mark Medina, a 28-year-old Camden County Corrections Officer, was arrested and charged with one count of third degree Possession of explicit images of minors and one count of second degree Distribution of explicit images of minors.

He was charged after detectives from the High Tech Crimes Unit (HTCU) of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office executed multiple search warrants on Friday.

They located one laptop, one Apple iPod and one thumb drive which were seized to be analyzed at the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office HTCU Forensic Lab.

While executing a search warrant at Medina’s place of work Detectives found and seized Medina’s cellphone from his vehicle.

The investigation revealed videos of explicit images of minors on the cellphone and thumb drive.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office HTCU Detectives were assisted on this case by members of Homeland Security Investigations – Cherry Hill Division, the Waterford Township Police Department and Camden County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT).
