Newark

Police in Newark are on the search for a black or dark-colored BMW wanted in connection to a shots-fired incident that injured a woman in the city's South Ward early Monday morning.

According to police, gunfire rang out in the 800 block of South 14th Street at Madison Avenue where officers arrived and found two females suffering injuries after being shot at that location just before 12:25 a.m.

Both victims were transported to University Hospital, where doctors began treating their injuries.
