Police in Newark are on the search for a suspect wanted for a shots-fired incident that caused property damage at a location in the city's West Ward.
According to authorities, multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the vicinity of 195 14th Avenue at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Officers arrived to find evidence that a shooting occurred, but after a search of the area, no victims were found.
Police say located about four projectiles inside a residence at that location according to reports.
A black or dark-colored vehicle with tinted windows was observed speeding away from the scene, according to police.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
