Bronx Man Arrested for Allegedly Lying about Newark Robbery

Newark Police took a Bronx man into custody and charged him with filing a false police report in mid-November.

According to authorities, On Saturday, November 18th, Michael Healy reported that a woman he knows robbed him at gunpoint in the Central Ward.

Police said as a result of their investigation, detectives determined that Healy lied about the incident and filed a false police report.

Authorities arrested then charged Healy with filing False Reports to Law Enforcement officials.

These charges are merely accusations. Healy is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
