Happy Monday, New Jersey. As we launch into a brand-new week, much of Newark and the North Jersey region is waking up to a crisp, fall-like atmosphere.
At 4:30 a.m., temperatures hovered around 61 degrees in downtown Newark, offering residents a refreshing yet brisk start to the day.
If you’re still shaking off that sleepy Monday feeling, a step outside will surely snap you into gear.
The early morning air is sharp enough to make a light jacket or sweatshirt essential, especially for kids who will wait at the bus stop.
The chill won’t last long, though.
According to the National Weather Service, today will shape up to be absolutely beautiful. Expect sunny skies with a high near 74 degrees and a north wind around 6 mph, ideal weather for outdoor activities, lunch breaks in the park, or simply soaking in early September’s calm.
Tonight, clear skies will continue with lows dipping to around 55 degrees, keeping that autumn preview alive a bit longer.
So whether you’re headed to school, work, or your local coffee shop, bundle up this morning, but look forward to a bright and comfortable Monday ahead.
