Prudential, a prominent financial services company based in Newark, has recently announced its title sponsorship for the highly anticipated Brick City HBCU Kickoff Classic.
According to organizers, the classic will showcase an exciting football game between Grambling State University and Hampton University, set to kick off at 3 p.m. ET on September 2nd, just across the river at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison.
Organizers said Prudential's event sponsorship represents a significant step in the company's commitment to strengthening investments within the Black community, focusing on driving economic inclusion and fostering generational wealth.
The Brick City HBCU Kickoff Classic aims to bring attention to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and impact Newark positively.

Perkovich said three of the games that featured these two teams playing against each other have drawn more than an astounding 58,000 passionate fans.
