Breezy, Cold Start to the Week in Newark With Sunshine Ahead

The Newark and North Jersey region will experience a cold but milder start this Monday morning. SupportConditions in Newarktions are much improved, with 35 degrees compared to last week's frigid temperatures.

Elsewhere in the region, Sussex County starts the day at a chilly 20 degrees, with Morristown at 27 and Paterson at 25.

While morning cloud cover will clear to bring sunshine later in the day, a persistent breeze will make it feel colder than the actual temperature. Residents are advised to bundle up and wear warm coats to combat the wind chill.

According to the National Weather Service:

  • Today: Sunny, with a high near 39. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. West winds 6 to 14 mph, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph.
  • Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low of around 30. Wind chill values between 20 and 25.
