Hudson County officials are actively investigating a shots-fired incident that resulted in severe injuries in a Bayonne neighborhood Sunday morning.
According to preliminary reports, gunfire rang out in the area of 484 John F. Kennedy Boulevard just before 5:15 a.m.
Police units arrived and found an unidentified female suffering bullet wounds in her face at that location according to reports.
As of 5:55 am, our team could only confirm ”life-threatening injuries”. UPDATE 9:02am This is a now a homicide investigation.
The motive into the shooting is in its early stages of the investigation. No suspect has been arrested at this time.
