HELICOPTER ABOVE: That police activity over Union and Newark’s South Ward is/was a pursuit of suspects wanted for several burglaries in West Orange.
Suspects reportedly bailed from the vehicle in the vicinity of Frelinghuysen and Foster. Union PD, Newark, and West Orange and NPD1 helicopter involved.
Police have this under control but no suspects apprehended at this time.
UPDATE 9:12 P.M. Newark Police not involved in the pursuit. NPD1 followed from the air only. NPD patrol units monitored from afar.
Avoid the area for the investigation.
