There is a crash investigation underway on a highway in Essex County where several people have been injured including NJ State Police officers.
According to preliminary reports from Trooper Alexandro Goez, at 10:22 a.m., a dump truck struck two troopers outside of their patrol cars and multiple pedestrians at an accident investigation on eastbound lanes of I-280 near mile marker 9.8 in West Orange.
Trooper Goez said both troopers were transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
No serious injuries reported by pedestrians and the dump truck remained on scene.
All lanes closed due to the investigation. Expect delays.
