BREAKING WEST NEW YORK NJ: Barricaded Man Fire Shots at Police in West New York

There is a massive police presence in the are of 59th Street near Kennedy Boulevard Boulevard as police and members of SWAT are attempting to get an alleged armed man to come out of a residence at that location.

According to preliminary reports, police attempted to pull over a vehicle on Kennedy Boulevard sometime before 2:30 a.m. when the suspect ignored officer's lights and sirens ultimately bailing from the vehicle in the area of 59th Street and Jackson Street according to reports.

The man entered a residence at that location shortly before firing several shots in the direction of officers reports said.

Officers took cover and now have that home surrounded, and are attempting to get the man to come out of the house.

Authorities believe that the suspect has some military experience and are urging residents in the area to stay indoors and away from Kennedy Boulevard.

There are no injuries reported.
