BREAKING UPDATE: One Dead, One Injured in Paterson Shooting

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that on Saturday night at approximately 4:01 a.m., police officers responded to the area of 317 12th Avenue in the City of Paterson in response to a report of shots fired.

Official say upon their arrival, the officers discovered two victims, Mr. Rajahn Alston, 36, and Mr. Jason Frierson, 35, both of Paterson, with apparent gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, where Mr. Alston was pronounced deceased at approximately 4:33 a.m. and where Mr. Frierson remains in stable condition.
