Police are on the scene of a shooting with two victims down in a section of Newark’s Central Ward at this time.
Armed suspects fired multiple rounds in the vicinity of Norfolk and Warren streets that struck two victims just before 2:20 p.m.
When police arrived at the scene, they secured the area after finding the victims.
Police are currently searching the neighborhood for shell casings and possible other victims.
The extent of the victims' injuries have not been reported as fatal and the pair are headed to University Hospital for treatment.
Avoid the area for the police investigation.
