Paterson Police are on the scene of a shooting with severe injuries reported.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the area of 20th Avenue and East 29th Street around 8:50 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found an unconscious and unresponsive male suffering bullet wounds.
Emergency responders provided CPR at the scene.
Officials at St. Joseph’s Hospital officials also reported one other gunshot victim who entered the emergency room just before 9 p.m.
The walk-in gunshot victim is believed to have suffered his injuries at the 20th Avenue crime scene.
Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway while The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has been notified and are responding.
**UPDATE 9:35 p.m.** This is now a homicide investigation with one confirmed fatality.
