BREAKING: Two Males Injured in Separate Newark Shootings

Police have crime scenes in Newark’s West and South Ward as investigators look into the motives behind two shootings that occurred nearly simultaneously. 

According to police, at approximately 1:17 p.m., shooters fired off several shots at a male victim near 33 Evergreen Avenue. 

The victims were struck by bullets, then transported to University Hospital for treatment and remained in stable condition. 

In the other shooting, police responded to shots fired in the vicinity of Abinger Place and Brookdale Avenue. 

When police arrived, they found a male struck by bullets. 

He was transported to University Hospital in stable condition. 

The suspect fled the scene and remain at-large.
