BREAKING RUTHERFORD: Early Morning Multi-Alarm Fire Damages Rutherford Restaurant


Firefighters in Bergen County battled a fire that damaged a business in Rutherford early Wednesday morning.

According to preliminary reports, firefighters responded to 96 Park Avenue after receiving reports of a fire inside a commercial establishment just before 2:45 a.m.

Crews arrived and found a working fire at the Jim Dandy's restaurant.

Firefighters were able to gain entrance inside the business where they swiftly found the seat of the blaze then crews extinguished flames.

Fire offcials at the scene signaled up to three-alarms for manpower and mutual aid station coverage, but firefighters managed to get the fire under control in under a half-hour. Officials said at least one other neighboring business was damaged due to the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries reported.
