BREAKING: Power Outage Hits Over a Thousand in Newark's South Ward

Sunday morning in Newark's South Ward was marked by an unexpected power outage, impacting residences and businesses.

NinosPSEG officials have confirmed that approximately 1,190 homes and businesses are currently without power.

This outage spans multiple neighborhoods, including the Clinton Hill area, causing some inconvenience to residents hoping to prepare for early house of worship services.

The outage began just before 5:50 a.m., and PSEG crews have been promptly deployed to address the issue.

According to updates on the PSEG website, the utility company is working diligently to restore power and expects to have all services back by 8 a.m.

While the cause of the outage remains under investigation by PSEG, the swift response indicates a commitment to restoring normalcy as quickly as possible.
