Detectives for The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office are on the scene of a shooting with fatal injuries reported at a location in Paterson at this time.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of Belle Avenue and North 4th Street at around 6:25 p.m.
Police arrived to find two victims suffering gunshot wounds at that location.
According to police, one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.
The extent of the other victim’s injuries are unknown at this time.
There are no arrests reported.
