BREAKING PATERSON NJ: Early Morning Double Shooting Reported in Paterson

There is an active crime scene and an investigation underway in a Paterson neighborhood as police look into a shooting that injured two people Saturday morning.

Details are continuing to develop, but according to preliminary reports, officials at the St. Joseph's Hospital contacted police when two male victims, 35-years-old and 37-years-old, suffering gunshot wounds entered the emergency department at around 6 a.m.

An off-duty police officer working security at the hospital spotted the victims then contacted Paterson Police.

The victims told arriving officers that they suffered their injuries in the vicinity of 12th Avenue and East 23rd Street.

The extent of the victims' injuries have not been reported as life-threatening at this time.

There are no arrests reported.
