BREAKING PATERSON: Multiple Commercial Armed Robberies Reported in Paterson

Several commercial armed robberies that have occurred around the city has police on alert.

Police responded to the area of 6th Avenue and East 24th Street where gunfire erupted after an armed robbery had the owner of a liquor store shoot at two suspects according to reports.

Shortly before 7 p.m., police responded to a hair salon located in the 400 block of 11th Avenue where several armed suspects entered the establishment and announced the robbery.

The suspects took an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing the scene.

The suspects were only described as black males wearing dark clothing.

Police responded to bodega located in the 50's block of North 3rd Street for reports of an armed robbery in progress.

Employees told arriving officers that suspects armed with weapons robbers the establishment at around 7:15 p.m.

There were no injuries in any of the robberies.

UPDATE 7:58 p.m. A pedestrian was robbed at gunpoint in the 300 block of Crosby Avenue.
