Police are on the scene of a shooting with a person down in a section of Paterson at this time.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of shots fired in the 700 block of East 24th Street around 7:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found the unconscious and unresponsive victim suffering bullet wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Passaic County Prosector’s Office are headed to the scene to lead the investigation.
There are no other injuries reported at this time.
