Emergency responders are on the scene of a crash with fatal injuries reported on a highway in Passaic County.
According to police, the collision happened in the westbound lanes of I-80 near the Trenton Avenue overpass in Paterson.
Police say a preliminary investigation showed that a car struck the concrete divider then flipped over trapping the driver inside the vehicle.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are trying to determine if another car was involved in the collision. There is heavy traffic in both directions due to rubbernecking.
The cause of the crash has not been determined.
