Police are on the scene investigating a shooting that has one person suffering fatal injuries at this time in Paterson.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to the 200 block of 16th Avenue after they received reports of shots fired at around 7:15 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found an unconscious and unresponsive male suffering gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead a the scene a short time later.
While police investigated at the crime scene, hospital officials notified officials when a second victim entered the emergency department suffering a gunshot wound to the foot.
Police believe that the hospital walk-in shooting victim was injured on 16th Avenue.
The motive for the incident no remains under investigation.
The suspects remain at-large.
