BREAKING: Overturned Tanker Truck Bursts Into Flames on NJ Turnpike in East Rutherford

Firefighters are on the scene of a truck fire on the NJ Turnpike in Bergen County at this time.

According to NJ State Police officials, it happened at approximately 6:22 am, where a tanker truck carrying gasoline crashed then burst into flames in the southbound lanes near interchange 16W -western spur- at NJ-3 in East Rutherford.

Police say all lanes have been shut down and delays are building back into Newark as firefighters attempt to get the blaze under control.

The driver of the truck has not been officially located at the time.
