BAYONNE NJ: A small air craft that crashed in the area of East 41st Street and Avenue E has emergency responders on the scene at this time.
There are injuries reported and wires down in the area.
Police have closed off the area at this time.
We are receiving reports of the pilot being trapped and injured.
UPDATE 10:35 a.m. The pilot has been extricated. There are no other injuries reported.
UPDATE 10:40 a.m. The pilot is en route to the hospital suffering a broken leg and other bruises. Non-life threatening at this time.
UPDATE 11:15 a.m. PSEG is reporting a little over 2000 homes and businesses have no power.
UPDATE: 11:27 p.m. Now about 1300 without power according to PSEG.
