BREAKING NEWARK: Two Victims Stabbed in Newark’s South Ward Incident

Police in Newark’s South Ward are investigating a stabbing incident with two people injured at this time.

According to preliminary reports, at approximately 2 p.m., a female suffering stab wounds entered the 5th Precinct and told police that she suffered her injuries at an address in the 400 block of Leslie Street.

When police arrived, they found blood evidence indicating that the attack occurred at that location.

While units investigated at the address, officials at Beth Israel Hospital notified them that a person entered the emergency department suffering stab wounds.

Police say a female was observed leaving the scene in a red Toyota.

Neither of the victims were reported as life-threatening at this time. It is not clear if one of these women is the suspect.

The incident remains under investigation.
