Newark Public Schools has announced that remote learning will extend into early spring.
According to a statement released by Superintendent Roger Leon, the state’s largest school district hopes to reconvene on April 12, due to escalating outbreaks of COVID-19 in Newark.
Parents and teachers were notified of the extended remote learning just before 6 p.m.
Schools have been unoccupied to direct learning since March 2020.
