BREAKING NEWARK NJ: Five Victims Shot in Two Separate Newark Shootings

There are a total of five people suffering gunshot wounds at two separate shooting scenes in Newark at this time.

Details are swiftly developing but according to preliminary reports, about 14 rounds of gunfire erupted in the 700 block of Martin Luther King at approximately 4:05 p.m where officers arrived and found two people suffering gunshot wounds.

Police say a third victim was transported by private vehicle to the hospital and is believe to have been struck at the Central Ward location.

In a separate shooting incident, gunmen sprayed the vicinity of South Orange Avenue and Camden Street where bullets struck and severely injured two victims

-one is a female-.

The extent of all of the inured has not been confirmed at this time.

There are several crime scenes developed at both locations and the incidents do not appear connected.

**UPDATED 4:36PM** White BMW 430 with a NJ license plate number S37-KBF responsible for shooting on MLK Boulevard. This car is stolen out of Westfield.

One confirmed fatality.

Avoid the areas for the investigations.
