BREAKING NEWARK NJ: Firefighters Respond to Multiple Cars on Fire at Newark International Airport

Firefighters in Newark are on the scene battling fires that ignited multiple cars in a parking lot at Newark International Airport at this time.

According to preliminary reports, fire broke out at around 7:05 a.m. at Terminal C Row 4 at EWR sending crews to the scene where extremely cold temperatures and strong winds impeded firefighters progress in getting water on the flams.

Fire officials say about a dozen vehicles caught fire for an unknown reason and they are currently investigating.

A bulk of the fire has been extinguished but crews remain at the scene putting out small fires inside the vehicles.

There are no injuries reported.
