There is an active investigation underway into a shooting that has fatal injuries reported for one victim at a location in Newark.
The incident happened in the 50’s block of South Jacob Street at around 5:35 p.m. where police found a female victim suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The investigation is in its early stages.
