BREAKING NEWARK NJ: Bus Crash Causes Injuries in Downtown Newark

Emergency responders are on the scene of a bus crash that involves two buses at the intersection of Raymond Boulevard and Broad Street at this time.

There are injuries reported and possible occupants trapped.

**UPDATE 6:17 a.m.** : These are NJ Transit buses with at least one person suffering "Life Threatening injuries at this time".

**UPDATE: 6:27 a.m.** There are multiple victims being rescued from the bus at this time. Only one is said to have life threatening injuries right now.

**UPDATE: 6:30 a.m.** At least a dozen injuries at this time. There is one fatality according to initial reports from the scene.

**UPDATE 6:35 a.m.** This was a high speed crash.We are still getting one fatality.

**UPDATE 6:42 a.m.** Patients are being transported to University Hospital and Newark Beth Israel Hospital

**UPDATE 7:13 a.m.** The driver of one of the buses is being reported as the victim who suffered fatally. Over a dozen injured.

UPDATE 7:41 a.m. TRAFFIC ALERT: There is HEAVY traffic in the city's downtown at this time.... Please plan accordingly!!

UPDATE 7:59 a.m. Broad Street & Raymond Blvd in Newark is closed due to bus accident. All buses are detouring to University Ave. Buses may experience delays
