There is an active crime scene established in a neighborhood in Newark’s North Ward as police investigate a double shooting that occurred a short time ago.
According to police, gunmen arrived in the 600 block of Summer Avenue at around 4 p.m. then opened fire in the direction of several people.
Fast responding Newark Police officers arrived to find two people suffering bullet wounds including a teenager at that location.
The conditions of both victims have not been confirmed as details are breaking at this time.
Expect heavy traffic on Summer Avenue due to police activity.
