Police are on the scene of a stabbing with several people injured at a location in Paterson at this time.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to a home in the 400 block of Market Street to investigate reports of loud screaming and a possible fight occurring just before 5:55 a.m.
When officers arrived, they requested multiple EMS units to rush to the scene after locating at least two victims suffering stab wounds. According to reports, one other person sustained injuries from fighting the suspect.
Residents in the area said the suspect reportedly attacked his family with a knife inside the house.
There are non-life threatening injuries reported at this time, but police have not released an official statement.
The suspect is in custody at the scene and a weapon was recovered.
