Police and SWAT are on the scene of a domestic incident that has a man barricaded inside a home holding members of his family in a neighborhood in Montclair.
Details are beginning to develop but according to preliminary reports, police closed off the vicinity of Grove Street between Bellevue and Grandview Place before 3:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a person barricaded inside a home on Grandview and holding family members hostage.
Montclair Police officers arrived at the scene and notified SWAT after the unidentified man would not come out of the residence according to preliminary reports.
Officers are currently surrounding the home as negotiators attempt a peaceful resolution.
There are no reports of injuries or weapons at this time.
