Police have made an arrest in a violent stabbing incident that happened in Jersey City on Sunday evening.
Police said at approximately 6:55 p.m., officers rushed to the vicinity of 322 Pacific Street when they learned of a person stabbed at that location.
Upon arrival, police shut down the area after they found an unidentified woman bleeding from her neck, according to police.
Officers canvassed the area and found the suspect, who they reportedly positively identified as the assailant involved in the stabbing.
The woman has been rushed to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and is in serious condition.
The motive for the attack is under investigation.
