BREAKING: Man Shot Dead During Armed Robbery in Newark’s Ironbound Section 


Homicide The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating a heart-wrenching incident that occurred in Newark's Ironbound section early Sunday morning.

RLS Media has learned that a senior man, soon to retire from his job at taxi company, became the victim of a violent robbery that ended in a deadly shooting.

The tragic event unfolded around 6 a.m. near the intersection of Malvern and Pacific Street.


Preliminary reports from the scene indicate that the senior man was approached by an armed assailant while walking to his vehicle. 

During the robbery, the suspect brandished a weapon and shot the service worker dead.

The perpetrator of this heinous act has not been apprehended and is currently at large, adding a sense of urgency and alarm to the ongoing investigation.

Police have cordoned off the area as detectives from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office meticulously work through the horrific scene.

Homicide Details about the incident are still developing, and authorities are piecing together the events that led to this tragic outcome.

The community has been left shaken by the violence, and a sense of loss pervades the area as they mourn the untimely death of a local man.
