Hudson County authorities are on the scene of a shooting with a person fatally injured inside a park in Jersey City at this time.
According to police, at around 8:20 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired that rang inside the Lafayette Park located near the intersection of Van Horne and Maple streets.
Police arrived and found the victim suffering a massive head wound at that location.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
The suspect fled the scene and remained at large.
Police say there were no other victims found,
