BREAKING: At Least One Dead in NJ-35 Crash in Sayreville

The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Crash Investigation Team is at the scene of a tragic crash that resulted in one fatality and at least one person injured on a local roadway in Sayreville.

Preliminary information revealed the incident happened at approximately 5 a.m. when emergency responders rushed to the area of 2001 NJ-35, southbound lanes near Kath Street.

Upon arrival, first responders encountered a harrowing crash scene with occupants trapped inside a vehicle.

Tragically, one individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while the condition of the other person, who was transported to an area hospital for treatment, could not be immediately confirmed.

The cause of this devastating wreck remains under active and ongoing investigation.
