**UPDATE 4:15PM Hudson County authorities confirm six (6) people dead including a police officer. Two suspects are also dead.**
Hudson County officials have confirmed that one Jersey City Police officer has lost his life after a hail of gunfire rang out on a street in Jersey City earlier this afternoon.

Officials say three other officers suffered non-life threatening injuries during the incident.
Mayor Steven Fulop has confirmed multiple fatalities inside the bodega in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive. But he would not say if any of the deceased are suspects at this time.
The incident is still being reported as an active shooter as of 3:30 p.m.
