The Essex County Prosecutor's Office are on the scene looking into the death of at least one person found inside a house in Irvington this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to a house in the area of 14th Avenue and Grove Street after they received reports of a severely injured person before 2:45 p.m.
When officers arrived, they were met with family members outside the house, screaming and crying.
Police immediately entered the residence and found an unconscious and unresponsive person, according to reports.
Prosecutor's Office officials have not confirmed the nature of the victim's death or how many bodies were found in the home at this time.
Police taped off the area for the investigation.
