Firefighters are on the scene of a two-alarm fire that is tearing through a building in Irvington Township at this time.
According to preliminary reports, heavy fire ripped through 124 Mill Road around 3:15 p.m., sending firefighters to the scene.
When they arrived, firefighters began to stretch several lines as flames intensified, forcing all firefighters to immediately evacuate the building after searching for possible trapped or injured occupants.
Crews continued their exterior attack by conducting a surround and drown operation.
As of 3:27 p.m., at least one firefighter suffered injuries, but the extent of his condition could not be confirmed.
Officials are reporting that a portion of the building is collapsing at this time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
