BREAKING: Firefighters Battle Fatal 4-Alarm House Fire in Morristown

A deadly 4-alarm house fire in Morristown that happened overnight has investigators from the Morris County Prosecutors' investigating. 

Heavy fire broke out in a house located in the teens block of Pine Street shortly before 11:30 p.m. where crews arrived to find the upper levels of the single family house fully engulfed in flames. 

Crews rescued at least one person reportedly trapped on the roof. 

Several others were pulled from the house and taken to the hospital. 

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Morristown Chief of Police Peter Demnitz confirmed that there was one fatality. 

The investigation is ongoing as to the origin and cause of the fire.

Crews brought the blaze under control at approximately 1:30 a.m.
