The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office has advised motorists to avoid the area of JFK Boulevard and St. Paul Avenue while investigators work the scene of a crash that killed a person in Jersey City Monday.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene of the collision and found a vehicle fully involved in flames shortly before 2:30 a.m.
Firefighters stretched one line to extinguish the blaze, but the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene from severe burns.
Officials say several cars were involved in the collision that caused one car to roll over and trap the driver.
The investigation into what caused the crash is in its early stages.
