BREAKING: Crash Causes Trucks to Burst into Flames on I-78 in Newark; One Feared Dead

Firefighters are on the scene of a crash with as many as two trucks fully engulfed in flames on an interstate in Newark. 

Preliminary reports coming into our information center indicated that at approximately 6:17 a.m., emergency responders rushed to the westbound lanes of I-78 near exit 56 to investigate reports of a crash.

Upon arrival, firefighters stretched two lines to extinguish massive flames from tractor-trailers colliding on the highway. 

The ferocious fire and smoke was observed at Newark International airport, according to police.

A driver was trapped inside one of the trucks and is presumed dead at this time. 

There are no immediate reports of cars involved 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
